Huka slack line

The flow of Huka Falls rapid has been 200cumecs or more for most of the summer which is pretty gnarly even for he best of us (ryan lucas and sean). so with not much else going on dish and i set up a slack line over the waterfall, turns out it was to slack to stand on but we found an epic photo spot. all went well until the police came and moved us along

piopio flood runs

the weather got a bit worse wo had a few days off work to go pick up harry's kayak from over in PioPio, when we got there at about 10pm had a few of the local brews and wents to slep to the sound of the rain. morning came and we were both stoked to see how nuch rain had fell, we grabbed our boats and headed for the river. first up was the Mokau, nice grade four run in flood, stopped of at what is now known as slippery rock (locals name) see photo above.

also found out that just around the corner was a 15ft waterfall, with some tight trees before and after the main drop. tricky spot to thread the trees but nice park and huck in flood.
